Preparing for Testing

The purpose of an assessment is to professionally evaluate your suitability for a specific position in a specific organization, or your suitability for community life in a specific town, or your suitability for a specific program offered by a specific educational institution.

  • The length and scope of the assessment process are determined precisely by the specific purpose of the scheduled assessment.
  • A day at the Assessment Center typically lasts the entire day, and includes a variety of tests, including intelligence tests, work and learning styles, occupational/scholastic aptitudes, creativity tests, personality tests, a biographical questionnaire, integrity tests, and tests and exercises specifically related to the position/program in question, tests on knowledge and managerial skills, simulations in groups and pairs, and a personal interview.
  • The assessment procedure is conducted at one of Keinan Sheffy’s four sites (Tel Aviv, Haifa, Be’er Sheva, or Jerusalem). In some cases, the assessment procedure takes place on the client’s premises.
  • The results of the assessment are confidential and are available only to the client who commissioned the assessment.
  • The assessment procedure is significant for all candidates. We recommend that you come rested. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This will help you be more relaxed and organized for the process.
  • Please bring with you an identity card containing an up-to-date photograph.
  • There are several intermissions during the day. If you need an additional break, please ask the facilitator.
  • Refreshments and hot and cold beverages are available at no cost. We recommend that you bring a light meal with you.
  • The assessment rooms are air-conditioned. We recommend that you wear long-sleeved clothing.
  • When completing the tests, please concentrate and invest your best efforts, and follow instructions. Throughout the day you will receive clear instructions on what is required of you in each test, the time involved, and other general requirements.
  • If you have special needs, please inform us in advance.
  • Feedback meeting – In most cases you may schedule a feedback meeting to receive feedback on your performance at the Assessment Center. This service is available for a fee.
  • We are aware that this is an important day for you. It is important to us that you feel as comfortable as possible. If you are not feeling well or need something, please do not hesitate to ask the facilitator who accompanies you throughout the day.
